Plans change...

So, I woke up this morning with the intention of finishing what I started yesterday with my office, and doing some laundry before A comes home tomorrow, you know, sheets and towels and stuff... Well, plans change...

I noticed when I let the dog out this morning that there was another butt load of snow on and around my car, similar to last week, but heavier since it is now above freezing and it is wet snow as opposed to powder... So I altered my plans to include digging the car out so I could go to work tomorrow. I worked it in before lunch, so I could work up an appetite.

I finished and came back in the house. I wasn't inside more than 15 minutes before we experienced an avalanche. Not one off a mountain, but one off my roof... Yes, my new metal roof decided to shed the snow on it... I watched it happen (far away from my windows just in case it swung over and hit the windows on the way down) and I couldn't stop laughing. I laughed hysterically, for another 15 minutes, then, took this picture:

Now you can see why I laughed hysterically. I mean, the situation was so funny at the time. I had just finished digging a pathway to my car and now I had to do it over again, with more snow, no less...

Here is the after picture... There was at least 3 feet of snow deep and 7-8 feet of snow to get through from my door to the parking lot...

I hope you all understand (this means you, honey) why I feel like I cannot finish my weekend project to the extent that I had intended... I still plan on doing laundry today, but I don't think it will be as much as I intended either...

I plan on doing more when I can feel my arms/shoulders again...
