...about getting another dog... But not just any dog... We'd get another "village" dog. One, I know we can get a puppy for free. Two, We'd be rescuing it from a life of no vet care and possibly getting shot later in life... That right, you read correctly... When we lived in the village, they routinely held "dog hunts" to help control the dog population, because they didn't get their animals fixed and they let the puppies go feral... Not a great situation. Needless to say, when we lived there, Noni was NEVER off-leash. Now that A is back in that area, I told him that if he hears that someone has puppies (and they aren't being bred to be a sled dog - which is still a way of life there) that he should bring one home. Noni would love to have a friend to share the day with. She misses her dog friends from "down south" in the "lower-48".
I can't wait to be a "pack" leader... LOL...
